Probably the closest place for you to acquire an engine would be Ed Morad (http://www.moradpartscompany.com/). He's out of Cleveland. I've gotten quite a few things from him without any issue.

As for pulling the engine, others may be able to point you in the right direction. Never had to do one of those yet.

What is the going rate for a good engine? I have a 2000 Bonneville that has been wrecked in the rear end that has been sitting for a couple of years. It had 170,000 on it when it was wrecked, and it ran really well. I was planning to keep it to transplant into my 03 when it bit the dust, but for the right price I could be interested in pulling it and selling it. The only parts I have taken off the engine have been the alternator and a MAF sensor.

Not sure how far you are willing to go to get an engine? But I've got an 03 Lesabre, still runs and drives but has body damage. And only 75k miles. Would be a great candidate to swap the whole drivetrain from.
