That makes me think car guys can still appreciate a good built car from someone who just dropped cash on a really fancy/fast car. Or Randy just has some really deep pockets to pay people to stand around his car!

I'm one of those, while I can appreciate the McLaren for what it is and what it's capable of, I'm not one that is "WOW'd" by fancy, expensive supercars. Be it McLaren, Ferrari, Lambo's, etc... Sorry!
I prefer a nice, well kept, stout, Chevy or other similar type sleeper/grocery getter/family hauler that no one expects to be anything. I'd have been checking out Randy's car too! Being a truck lover, I'd actually also be looking at that 2500HD sitting next to him too.
Admittedly, some of that is due to my pro-'Merican viewpoint on automobiles too!

Hahahaha! I'd be with that crowd. Don't get me wrong, the super cars are very impressive, but they don't have the personality or coolness factor of a hand built and thought out personal project.
Or maybe it's just that I drive them so often they all feel the same and mass produced now...

I think every true car guy is going to appreciate something that gets some proper love and custom built performance parts over a 'store bought' car. It could look like a pile, it could be a pile, but when somebody comes around in an insane built unsuspecting car nothing else matters but that it's fast.

I've usually found that old or custom unicorns garner attention first before the newer unicorns. Civic Wagon can break more necks than an exotic, and also gets the sport bike guys' heads turning. They don't turn for nobody!
