Hard starting only sometimes
I own a 2000 Pontiac Bonneville ssei but it has a small issue that's bugging me. Sometimes the car will start with one key turn and there is other times i have to hold the key in start position and tap the gas to start it. I tested the battery, starter, and alternator and they all tested good.

Check for fuel leak or if you have the tools check your fuel oressure. My 99 was having occasional hard starts until I replaced a section of fuel line that had a pin hole leak.

I found the problem. I cleaned all the carbon off the iac valve and the car starts every time now and no more weird idle

At least it was an easy fix. If you have the time, the whole throttle body could probably use a cleaning as well.
