Discuss washing, waxing and detailing information as well as interior/exterior cosmetic modifications. This includes neons, body, cosmetic wheels, etc. Even under the hood detailing.

Detailed Moms Ford Edge a few weeks ago

Post by donky4444 »

So a few weeks ago I detailed my mom Tuxedo Black Edge for her. This was a Mothers Day/birthday gift for her. She's had it for a year and a half and it has never been hand washed or waxed and was a leased car before she had it. Who knows if it's ever been waxed before. I washed and clayed it then I did Adam's polishes two step paint correction system with my Chicago a Electric DA polisher. Then by hand I applies Adam's Revive Polish, then Buttery Wax and then Brilliant Glaze. I used Adam's VRT on the tires, Adam's Leather conditioner on the seats, Turtle Wax Chrome wax on wheels and all chrome and Black Magic Ultimate Black on all plastic. I took her floor mats the the quarter car wash and used high pressure soap to clean them and high pressure rinse, then used their vacuum to suck most of the water out. It took me a total of 12 hours over 2 days to finish.

My girlfriend's Fusion is Tuxedo Black, I'm always amazed at how metallic it is when clean and shiny. =D>
