Door Panel Speaker Pods

Post by Sytek »

Has anyone modified their door panels to add more speaker pods on here? My passion has been audio and my Bonneville has been going through a lot with my modifications but I couldn't have asked for a better car! Ill post a picture of what I'm planning on doing but was wondering if anybody else has already tried and if they had any advice. I'm planning on putting one 8" Speaker and two 6" speakers in each front door panel along with the 4" tweeter already installed.

You'll have to do a huge amount of plastic fab, but I think someone added a larger speaker in the stock location before.

Just so you know, that many speakers doesn't do much for sound quality.

I replaced the subs on the rear deck with nice triaxials and put JBL components in the front doors, and disconnected by rear door speakers, and put a sub in the trunk and the sound is way better than stock, plus everything fit in the stock positions

I won't be using plastic to mod the door panel, I'll make a fiberglass mold and attach it on. Also I attend a lot of car audio competitions and you'd be surprised how well this would sound. Even though it might look like I'm adding a ridiculous amount of speakers, with the right amplification and enclosure itll sound clear as day and in my case I want it loud ahaa.
