air shocks stay inflated 97 ssei
Hey everybody, new guy here. Just got home from a trip to Michigan. A pretty rough trip for most of it. Went through some road construction that had some pretty rough/inconsistent road surfaces. I didn't get out of my car for a while after that and I saw that the rear end of the car was sitting way up. I got to my hotel and let it sit overnight thinking that it just needed some time to reset itself after all the ups and downs, but this morning it was still sitting up. I unhooked both air lines to the shocks thinking that would let the air leak out, but no air came out when I did this. Left them unhooked all the way home to Wisconsin and it sat up high all the way back. Has anyone had this happen to them before? Is there a check valve in the shock somewhere? Why won't the air come out? My car has 122k on it and it looks like these are the original shocks in the rear.

You didn't by any chance go to the 3800 meet did you?
They're probably stuck if they're original. Maybe time to upgrade.

No, I was at the F.A.S.T. races in Martin. I've never heard of the 3800 meet. I ended up replacing both shocks. The drivers side was not moving at all after I took it out. They weren't the originals, which kind of surprised me. Thanks for the reply
