My 2000 SSEi has about 145k on. I've had it since 120k and its never registered above 4psi on the boost gauge. The acceleration is good and seems normal, however I was reviewing data on my Dashcommand app and the max boost that ever registered while I had it plugged in was 4.
It seems Ike my 98 SSEi used to pop up to 7 or 8 when I romped on it and reading thru the site here it seems that other guys have psi readings above 4.
What could be limiting the boost? Possible vac leak? (I've soaked the motor in carb cleaner and didn't find any)
Normal boost range?

Re: Normal boost range?
Disconnect the BBV and see if you get the power back.
Last time you changed the supercharger oil?
I would assume it's an issue with the boost controls.

BBV? Boost bypass valve?
Supercharger oil was changed within the last 50k.

Re: Normal boost range?
My car has 108k on it and the oil was changed less than 10k miles ago. Depending on the weather I can hit 9-9.5 psi if its cold enough. I have a stock pulley. On a hot day it may be only 7-8 psi
