Do headlight assemblies differ btw '01 and '03?

Post by DealMeN »

So, after a couple years of periodically re-clearing my crusty old headlight assemblies ('01 SSEi), I've finally decided to just buy new assemblies. However, I'm confused on whether the '01 assembly is the same as an '03 assembly. Just looking online at places like AdvanceAuto, the search returns the same part number for both years, leading me to conclude that the fitment is the same.

However, looking at the site where I want to buy (maxzone.com), they don't appear to have a part for the '00-'02 years, but have parts for the models before and after...Speaking with a parts manager from that company, he said that they don't sell assemblies for those middle years (but he might just be referring to the same info I see online). BTW, the reason I want to use maxzone.com is b/c I might have a "$FREE.99" hookup through a vendor trade relationship, but I want some confirmation that if I order the '03 assembly, it will fit on my '01.

Any advice?

Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply! Any advantage/disadvantage to going with a GXP pair? Is the look significantly better?

they look a little darker which makes it appear more aggressive the high beams Are hit bulbs instead of the regular 9005. They are a little brighter/whiter

GXP headlights are also difficult to find, and can be expensive. All Bonneville headlights 00+ are interchangeable.
