Stock exhaust questions

Post by snowth1ef »

I have a 2000 bonneville sle, and I am doing my header install soon, so I was wondering if any one has tips on how to get the SD headers to match up, Thinking about getting a section of exhaust pipe the same as stock diameter, clamp it on past where the cat is, and weld a flange on to bolt up to the header side. Ideas etc are welcome! also if anyone knows the stock exhaust diameter past the cat that I want to clamp on to.

post cat piping should be 2.5" and Y's into dual 2". the GP buys do mention something about getting better clamps and helps seal the headers together better.. info on club GP or google it, they should be helpfull.

install is pretty straight forward.. might wanna spray some penatration lube on the bolts the night before to make things a little easier.. 13-14yr old bolts are a little stubborn.
