P0442 is going to drive me nuts!

Post by White93Z34 »

alright, about once every 2 weeks to a month I get a P0442. My gas cap is not even 6 months old, and was bought from the dealership. I've checked over vacuum lines. this is driving me nuts, where would I want to start here?

I feel your pain...http://www.pontiacbonnevilleclub.com/fo ... =18&t=3900 A few things I read are pointing me toward the Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor, which I believe your '97 has. Not sure if the P0442 code is applicable, as I'm getting a P0455.
