Two sort of quick questions
okay here it goes, as i have just finished all the main problems of the body work on my car, and am now restoring what used to be a "hunk ah junk" im interested in some motor upgrades. my first questions is the exhaust. ive heard some pretty deep throaty exhausts for these things and some other quiet but nice exhausts, and not sure of brands but i like a loud throaty exhaust... what would be the best to get for my scenario because my stock exhaust aint cuttin' it fah meh no moooeee..

There may have been a couple manual trans swaps done on another 3800 site, but I assure you that you won't be buying a simple kit to swap a few parts.

That's a link to a Bonneville guy who is rigging up a G6 6 speed. It's not for the faint of heart.

You would have to be pretty in love with your bonnie to try and do a swap like that ! Switching your down pipe to a 2.5 or 3 inch catless dp (depending on the motor) can make it a smidge more throaty. As far as brands of muffler that would be better than other... i heard a grand prix with a nice sounding exhaust that had a borla cat back on it. but in all honesty it all depends on how much cash ya got. i think maybe just a high flow or no resanator would probably do ya good.

Wow.. I bet that's a very very nice ride that he has!! But I'm not a fan of the G6.. G8's are sorta nice but I'd rather drive a broken bonneville than a g6 no offense to anyone who has one just a personal preferencemylittleblackbird wrote:There may have been a couple manual trans swaps done on another 3800 site, but I assure you that you won't be buying a simple kit to swap a few parts.

Not in love with the Bonnie too much just in love with 5-speeds. Hahaha, and okayy, probably just gonna re-pipe it and put a flow master muffler on it. That will sound better than stock. But what's the nicest sounding one out there, or loudest I should say? (I'm an 18 year old kid, and trying to restore my car and make it clean, loud and run well) the interior is in prestige condition.. Took out the dash pieces around the gauges through the center console (was brown, replaces that with black pieces from an all black SLE I think.. Only quirk is It has the spot for the traction control button but my car doesn't have that option.. It's always engaged :(Alpine_jake wrote:You would have to be pretty in love with your bonnie to try and do a swap like that !
