I like it but... I might be interested if the wheat looking thing was gone off the arrowhead and bigger, almost the size of the width of the GXP and the gxp overlapping the lower part of the arrowhead... How big will this be and where on your car are you going to put it?

I knew it looked familiar but I couldn't place it, didn't mean to sound like an idiot but thank you for pointing that out to me. Anyway, I was only giving feedback since you asked. I'm not trying to copy your design nor was I questioning the proprotioning. Good luck with it anyway.

Really? :roll: All you did was slap together 3 well known logos. The whole point of a forum is to share knowledge and information.

Are you designing this in MS Paint? Raster art doesn't work to well for making decals. Do you mind posting a picture of what your company made for you already? I guarantee that they had to redraw anything you made for them into vector art.

Does nothing for me.

If anything, GM can come after you for infringement/copyright on three of their logos, used without their permission, if you plan to make money off them. Those being Pontiac, Cadillac's wreath, and the GXP logo,

Wow looks like a couple of people woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. Look I wasn't looking for any Web Wars or thread drama. I was simply trying to be creative and explain my stance and the decal itself.

I never said I was going to sell this myself.... not once!

I was simply trying to make something fun and draw up an idea for something I thought was fun for GXP owners.

My Company? I work for wal mart..... WTF was that dig for? Really who pissed in your Cheerios this morning? Walmart doesn't make window decals for expired car brands..... or any brands for that matter.

Two opinions I once held very highly have been bashed today.

Yes I "Slapped" it together..... No I have no art experience..... and I used a 200.00 laptop to "SLAP" this together in Paint. Not any Vector thing or raster whatever you said..... BUT! At least I'm making an effort to have something new and fun for a car I love.

If you don't like it..... Don't reply...... If you don't think I should not have posted this thread use your Moderator powers to delete the thread. Not call me out on my own thread trying to belittle me for trying to make something fun for everyone.

Thank you for the feedback..... Sorry if I came off rude.

I didn't wake up on the wrong side of the bed, but now I am on the wrong side of the bed.

1) I simply said it does nothing for me! That did not pass judgement on your skills, your design, or the overall concept and/or why you did it. It simply meant it doesn't do a smurfing thing for me! And I said such. It wasn't NEGATIVE, it wasn't MEAN, I simply said "It does nothing for me!" No anger was projected. No bitterness was projected. No venom was projected. If you post something up asking for people's opinions, you have to accept the good AND the bad!

2) I was simply stating further that unless you have permission from GM to use their logos (or parts thereof), as a proprietary design, ultimately to sell it (otherwise you wouldn't have put Bl4z3 on it to protect YOUR design), GM can come after you as you are using THEIR trademarket logos in YOUR design. And before you say "oh they won't go after little ole me..." Yes, they will I've seen it done before! Again, this is nothing personal. Just fact of the legalities of the situation.

Cliff Notes;

OP made a logo that he wanted to produce, create as a wallpaper, etc. It included the GXP logo, the Pontiac arrowhead, and the Cadillac wreath. OP asked what we thought of it. Other members posted our thoughts (as can be seen as we have not edited our posts, some are good, some he deemed bad). OP did not like the feedback received, got mad, picked up his ball and left. Probably best if this got locked down, but that's not my call.
