Cleaned up the extra set of bent 5s I have laying around, they look perfect on this car! Going to do a full detail on it yet also, I haven't even cleaned up the interior at all yet, been way too cold
Purchased for $500, swapped in a used ICM and coils I had laying around to get it running, changed the oil and I have driven it ever since. Swapped the drivers side wheel bearing last weekend, it was really bad! Just noticed today the front ball joints are shot so looks like control arms are in the very near future. The more I drive it, the better the MPG that I get too. My Scangauge II only keeps average on a per trip basis, but last night on the way home from work, including warm up time and all, I averaged 32 MPG on that trip! No complaints there

X2. Can't remember...was that already on there and was it already tinted? Looks really good, can't wait for it to undergo one of your spectacular details. Gotta love that MPG too....when you can have the power & comfort of that, who would want to drive a buzzy little compact 4 banger?

Thanks guys! I can't wait to get the paint cleaned up and no swirls in it, I didn't realize until yesterday that this is a metallic paint and how good it really looks when the light hits it just right. That will look so much better without any swirls in the way!
The tint and duals were already on the car, all I have done so far is fix the nasty hazed up passenger side headlight. I will be tinting the tails and GXP cloning the headlights soon too, also thinking about color matching the chrome around the grill as well as the chrome strips on the side to match the paint.
Yes, I still have the ssei too, we just took it to New York over Easter weekend, and now it sits at 245,000 miles. It also gets driven daily, Heather drives that, I drive the SE, the Z71, or the Cutlass when it's nice.

Whoa! I didn't realize it had that many miles on it! Still looks amazing (and what wouldn't with your detailing work).
Soon hopefully I too will be swapping between the SSEi and my Z71...as soon as the roads get washed off more. Rain coming tomorrow! Yay!

Yea, the SSEi and this SE both have a pile of miles on them, 245k on the SSEi and 242K on the SE. Unfortunately though, the SSEi is starting to rust really bad under the gas door :( I try to hide it as much as I can with touch up paint, but there is a fairly large area under the gas door that is completely rusted out and no original paint at all left Some of it has even completely rusted through the panel! What makes it even worse is that GM did such a crap job painting the car to begin with (you can literally see the primer under the base coat, that's how thin it is!) that the touch up paint looks nice and deep black while now the factory paint around it almost looks brown / gray.
The SE though, even with all those miles just shows absolutely zero signs of rust anywhere. Nothing around the gas door, nothing underneath, nothing under the hood and not even under the headlights on that frame section where I noticed that they all seem to start to rust out. I am thinking this was a southern car most of it's life.
