Cold air from dash board light sensor on 96 bonneville

Post by jmulhearn »

My 96 Bonneville has cold air coming out from the area around the light sensor that is built into the dashboard just above the steering wheel. This air comes out regardless of wether I have the temp on high or not (I have the
auto heat control that I know is broke, probably the control gear).
I may not be able to fix it without removing the dash, which I won't even consider.
But, except for just putting clear tape over it, does anyone have an Idea how I can find the source of the cold air? Could it be the AC is running at the same time, or is it air coming thru the firewall?
Or, could it be the windshield just coming thru the opening?
