Plastic door trim question?
I saw this door trim at the store that was in black. I had a thought, what if I instead put the trim along the side of the hood. There is probably a 5/16" gap along both sides, and if I "filled" that in with the trim, would that be a decent look? Or am I plugging up some sort of heat venting for the engine bay? What do you think?

We have a racial term for that stuff around here, and I've even seen it done on a Honda around the hood. I think it looks terrible, but that's my opinion.

It wouldn't be around the hood, just the sides. And if I don't like it, I can always use the trim for my doors. Lol

If it touches the fender at all it will rub the paint right off due to vibration.
Not the look I'd be after, but it's up to you.
