Portfolio extended warranty came through in the clutch!

My warranty was within 1,000 miles of expiring and they covered my valve cover gaskets, intake gasket and crank case gasket ($4300-$100 deductible) kudos to them and thank God for saving me the trouble and heartache of not catching it in time!

No joke there! Intake gaskets are just basically rubber O rings, no coolant ever goes into the intake on those engines, the gaskets are about $20. Valve cover gaskets aren't that bad either, I wonder if they had to pull the engine to do the crank case gasket...

It was mostly labor but either way I'm glad I only paid $100.

Just got my car back yesterday with the same service....10 days of car rental and 2880 in parts and labor...my cost 100... That warranty has now more than paid for it self with still another 2 years and 35k to go....BTW they had to pull the engine to do the lower crankcase manifold...
