04 surging/stutter at WOT and stutter lugging

I have a surging/stutter problem at WOT and close to WOT, feels like fuel pressure if fluctuating, power not consistant and fluctuates (will be putting a gauge on tonight to monitor fuel pressure).

Second problem, I think its related, when the car is in 4th and lugs about 1500 rpm some times it stutters once for a 1/2 second like the ignition cuts out.

not sure if it did this before i did the upper and lower intake gaskets. Just purchased before doing the gaskets.

plug wires I think are stock with almost 190K on the car. plugs less then 30k old, autolite double platinums.

I would replace the wires and plugs and check the coils. Checking the fuel pressure as you mentioned is a good place to start also.
