Oil Pressure Relief Valve

Post by 97seagain »

Finally getting back to my Project 2000 SSEi almost a year after purchase, and have an engine assembly question.

I'm ready to install the Oil Filter Mount... but don't recall if the piston or spring goes into the block first. My gut feeling is spring first, then piston (installed so that the spring ends up inside of it)... but wanted to make sure before I drop the motor back into the car.

Thanks,
Bob

IIRC the piston goes in first. I don't remember for sure though. Someone will chime in quickly enough...
