I am getting ready to install my old 12" subs into my trunk and install my amp as well. I am looking at being lazy and make it as easy as possible. Want to get your input on placement of amp. I would rather make things easier on me and put the amp under the passenger seat but have not even got out to look and see if there is clearence enough under there. Worse case scenerio I will carry it to the trunk, not a big deal. Also, I replaced the HU with a jvc with amp outputs also with sub control. My factory deck had the slide lever for the gain and under the old hu was a little box. Is that a little tiny amp? If so could you tell me if it is worth keeping and using to add extra power to my stock speakers(delco)? Thanks. Oh, this is a 96 ssei.
THanks for any input.

Disconnect that little amp. It'll interfere with the output coming from the headunit, the speakers will cit on and off, if you leave it connected.

Yeah, if you only have stock speakers I think your deck will push them just fine. If you go with a nice aftermarket speaker, then you can think about external amp ideas, but I'd go with a nice aftermarket amp.
