I walked out to my car this morning and the back passenger window was down...now the window won't go back up. You can hear the motor working and the window lift going up and down, but the window remains all the way down. I used a dvd case to keep the window up. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Rear window off track?

Re: Rear window off track?
Beast is correct the window regulator is broken. This is a very easy fix and not to expensive. Here is a link for where you can get them. About $50, I have ordered from AMautoparts (through EBAY) many times for window regulators. Make sure you get the one you need (rear passenger or rear driver side etc..) just read carefully.
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_sacat=S ... +regulator
To get to the window regulator its easy.
1 Start at the bottom of the door using a large flat head screw driver....pry off the panel working your way up and around to the panel lifts off.
2 Remove the black plastic cover. then manually lift the window all the way up
(this will align access holes with the 2 10mm bolts that hold on to the window. you only have to loosen these, you dont have to remove them.) Make sure you secure the glass maybe with some duct tape over the top, just enough to make sure it doesn't fall.
3 now that you have loosened the top two bolts that hold the glass. At the bottom of the door there is 3 (10mm) bolts that hold the regulator take them out. then maneuver the regulator out of the door. Then put the new one in.
Something to mention there is 2 metal clips on the inside of the door panel that get stuck in the panel. I always use a set of needle nose pliers to remove them. Then I slide them back into the holders on the door it self. They can be a little tricky but it makes for putting the door back together a lot easier. good luck.

If you look in the thread I linked, you can fix it for almost free.
