The Garbage Monsoon Factory System

Post by Gagger14 »

Hey has anyone had their factory HU just randomly stop playing/ejecting CDs? Last night it worked perfectly fine for me, but when I started up my car this morning, it wouldn't play the CD or eject it. All the buttons seem to work and every thing "switches" over like it properly should when I switch from radio to CD, but it just sits at the same track and doesn't allow me to take the CD out. Any advice of what would cause this would be very much appreicated. Thanks.

Im in this a bit latebut was it a regular store bought cd? It is getting up in age and I have had luck with using a can of compressed air to spray into units to blow out some dust. GIve it a try and see if it changes anything. I just bought my Bonneville with 67000 on it and I think the stero system is very good. I just have to go find my old cassette tape box with Scorpions on there to try out that lower slot :). But I think soon I will add a Double DIn Nav unit with backup camera soon just to update her and see in the back after the Limo tint is installed.

Mine did that (not monsoon) but killing power fixed it, try pulling the fuse, leave it out for 30 seconds and put it back in.
Fault lies with the man low enough to lay blame.
