My First Bonneville

Post by Kitt99 »

I am so happy to announce that I have acquired a 99' Bonneville SE. :bwoohoo: I should have taken some before and after pics. But I spent a solid 2 hrs on her.

A few things that i still need to fix is my arm rest, (that i took out), and my drive side door panel. and the driver side fog lamp. (need a new unit)

Things that I want done:
Intense FWI
New Wheels

Digging that color! (my old 99 SE was the same color). It's not all that common on a Bonneville.

Real nice and clean looking Bonneville.

I always thought the color of my 97 was abit different. Never saw another one of that color.
Dark green is certain light and greenish brown in other light.

Looks in great condition, and I agree, a very interesting colour.

I've never even seen a Bonneville of this generation with steel wheels and plastic trims before! Looks quite good for it, IMO.

I really like that color but the wheels just bother me. They cheapen an otherwise very classy car.

I agree on the new wheels thing...hubcaps do nothing for me on these cars. I like the color though! :hit it:

Yeah I'm disappointed in the wheels as well. I'm not sure what size to get. And being on a college student budget im not sure how much to spend. And Im guessing the door panel is loose becuase the previous owner installed xm radio. and broke a few clips. [-( Also the side trim is broken. :banghead: but I absolutely love this car. The L36 is a stonggg motor!

I got a set of Pontiac Star Rims that came with some of these cars. They are in good shape but some of the finish has come off due to wheel weights.

The front wheels on my sig are what they look like

For me they definitly have some kind of perverse appeal. There's something about a real base spec model. But then I'm strange like that.

Clean looking car! Not showing its age at all. Good color, but it would be great if you got some real rims! :P

^^ Yes that is different. It has a column shift, but doesn't appear to have bench seating.
