Debaged today

Post by DealMeN »

Looks tons better, IMO. Seriously, the big SSEi badges = 90's GM. Without the badges, it could pass for a newer vehicle...

Check out the 02+ badges. Much cleaner and more modern:

:withstupid: Though I did the opposite and added a badge, I like that look a lot...
I like even more how shiny that red is :sadeyz:

Yeah, the 02+ badges look much nicer. The paint on my '01 is pretty decent, but I have a bit of rust bubbling under the gas cap and on the lip of the hood.

Next, I'll need to work on the headliner. Most of it is ok, but the sunshade liner is hanging off and the headliner is starting to droop near the back window.

I'm also going to search the forum for window tint pictures. There is no tint on it now and I tend to like the stock tint look.

I love the debadged look, I will probably catch crap for this but, I think these cars look so much better without badges I would even debadge a gxp if I had one

To each his own. I like the 02+ SSEi badges, not so much the 00-01. I'm indifferent on the GXP badges, IMO they're a little small for such a big car.

I ended up scratching the clear coat trying to get all the adhesive off of the door. Hard not to, the glue has 10 years of dirt stuck in it, and you gotta rub really hard to get it off.

A couple applications of Meguire's Ultimate Compound took car of them though. Looks like neither the badges nor the adhesive were ever there.
