2000 SLE TRANSMISSION SWAP QUESTION 2002 SE donor

I have a 2000 Bonneville SLE which we love. wonderful car. 164,000. The transmission is having problems, shutter delay pop to reverse and first some times. slight roar when accelerating. cruising. Pan has metal shavings. I found a complete 2002 SE Bonneville I was considering buying for parts to keep mine going. Will the transmissions swap? I have read about a lot of valve body differences,electronics, converter sizes. I am mechanically inclined. Just don't want to make a costly mistake. Any incite is greatly appreciated!

I don't believe the transmission will swap. You'll have to find the transmission tags, which are on the rear of the transmission towards the passenger side visible from underneath, and see if the codes match.

All that matters is if the SE has the F83 transmission. If it does it will work.
If your 2000 has the early model year trans you will just have to undo the trans cooler line adapter that goe between the trans and the trans cooler lines and your trans cooler lines will thread right in.
Trust someone who's in the know and has put a 2002 Park Avenue transmission in a 1998 Regal.
