RR Window not working

Post by Lobos02Poncho »

Having just authored "Thanx to haro freakoo"
I am now facing newest window problem. I have already removed door panels and resealed same(all).
I have already removed seat and carpeting and successfully reconnected LF drain.
This is key. I have already properly repaired "Tan" wires that were corroded by flooding in LR passenger foot well.
ALL systems were go, everything worked for 3 days. then yesterday, RR window stopped working. Everything still works xcept for RR window.

Door motor????????

Try this...

Check for power at window motor plug on the harness side.

If you have power then try this.

I will ck for power, but my thought was if the door locks had pwr then the entire harness would have pwr.
cannot figure why all of a suddden this would happen, especially after recent recconnect and soldering of little "TAN" wires to get all back.(4) days ago.
But all of a sudden means nothing to a machine, xample: Newly developed "MAF" sensor problem.
Thanx will ck pwr, and back ck to ck where I loose it.
Thanx for rebuild article.

Well,
After trying slamming technique, slamming allowed window to go down.
Waited and tried to get window to go up, no success.
Initially heard motor clicking, after slamming now hear motor turning( in both directions seems when end of cylce arrives motor begins to click again.
Pullled door panel, and as I hear motor turning, do not see regulator moving at all. After walking salvage yard most of day, really am tired and although I got into the door, will problably let it set until tomorrow. Gotta cover window.

If the motor was turning then its probably able to be fixed with the link I gave you. Just probably that plastic piece thats broken.

Well couldn't wait, went out took plastic deflector partially down for now, reconnected pwr, tried running window up & dwn. regulator didnot move onslide at all.
I did notice a fine blk cable loosening and tightening.
That's all for tonight.
Right now even though u gave great instructions, Do not know if I want to tackle rebuild or not.
Nothing to do with method, it's just I've been working on this Bonne for 31/2 wks now.
Wiil update.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
I want to thank you for all your assitance on my RR door malfunctioning, it really got to me after all the time spent on getting to those little"TAN"wires, under the driver seat that corrode due to water leaks in car fixed, as well as those leaks.
Then having all functioning doors and locks for (3 ) days only to loose RR window.
Your suggestion and links were invauable, my patience was ending.
Today for less $ than I had spent 21/2 yrs. ago, I had a mechanic I use from time to time, help me put in a newly purchase regulator and motor. My window was stuck down, and other than propping it up, needed to be fixed ASAP. Unable to get a regulator only A/O, I was forced into a reg & motor, obviously more costly. The supply house that had one, that we could get in 45 mins., quoted me $120.00, and shortly called back to requote $160.00. 21/2 yrs. ago I paid $199.99 for same, so I didnot feel that bad. All other suppliers contacted, had a few days for special ordering time. Then wanted to be paid up front /or wanted a deposit, that was not the problem it was the delay.
Tanx Again, the clubs guidance, and willingness to help has been invaluable.
Catch you next problem.
(Gas gauge incorrect readings) I have an idea it's in the gas tank. Taking a break 4 now.
