Questions about cross-year parts compatibility

Post by hobbie2k »

So I recently bought a 93 SSEi for $500 and it needs a few things and I've found a few local part outs on Craigslist (a 92 and 94 SE and a 98 SSEi) and am just wondering about cross year and model compatibility with some parts.

Hood from a 98? Not expecting it to look exactly the same, just wondering if it will work.
Headlights from 98?
Belt tensioner from the 98, or will one from a 92 or 94 N/A 3800 work?
Will the SC cone from the 98 work if I use the 93's pulley?
EGR exhaust manifold tube from 98?
Brake rotors/pads/calipers from 98?

Thanks guys.

most of the stuff is compatible between 92-99 it just depends how much your willing to work and invest time in it

hood will work
headlights are a lil different and there is a lil wire modification to be done
the superchargers are different 92-95 is a M62 and 96-99 is a M90
EGR and exhaust manifolds are different
