Re: AC
I agree. The passenger side air-mix actuator controls the rear vents, too. Remove the lower dash panel on the passenger side, and look up near the blower to see if it moves when the temperature is changed. It's #2 in this diagram.

Re: AC
Likely still needs more refrigerant. Cold on the passenger side, and warmer on the driver's is a symptom of low refrigerant levels.

Re: AC
Thanks, still have some left so will try adding some more. Already added one can of 12oz and started to add some of the second can but thought it wasn't taking any more so disconnected it. Would probably help if I had a pressure gage.

Re: AC
It can take a while to get that last bit in. What some do is secure the can under the hood, then take the car for a drive. The warmer temps., and higher RPMs can help.

Re: AC
Just working on this again since getting warmer. I put some dye in the system and stopped by a shop and they said the leak was at the compressor line.
I just checked the pressure in the system and it was 35psi. Still cold on passenger's side and slightly cool on driver's side. What psi does the system operate at?
Also, when charging I thought there was a pressure release from the compressor. Is there a pressure relief valve on the compressor?

Thanks for the help.

Re: AC
operating temp will vary depending on outside air temp. the best way to ensure proper system charge is find the label that tells the amount of refrigerant needed on my bonneville it is located on the dryer which is located just below the service fittings on the passenger side, my system requires 2lbs. evacuaute the system with a vacuum pump and recharge this will ensure you have the exact charge.

Re: AC
IIRC it's 2.2 lbs. I had a similar issue, my shop pulled a vac and added 2.2lbs and it's cold again. NFC why.
