Pure Evil is getting LOUDER

I have been working on Pure Evil for about three weeks now and Haro just talk me into showing the progress that I have made.

Step one: Gut the interior






Step two: Dynamat






Step three: Get a replacement door panel from Haro and try this.






Ok so you might ask how I did this, well took two pieces of MDF cut out the size of the new speaker. I put a handle on one, then screwed the together with the door panel between them. I used a heat gun to make the plastic backing on the door panel just soft enough to move to where I wanted them, and then slowly took the heat off.

Here is the setup I am planning

Kenwood DNX9960 7” Navigation head unit
Rockford Fosgate (RF) old school 1100a2 (sub)
RF old school 800a4 (Hi/mid)
RF 10 Farad capacitor
RF T2D212 12” sub
Hertz Hi-Energy HSK163 3 way Components 6 ½ speakers for the front Door
Hertz Hi-Energy HSK165 XL 2 way Components 6 ½ speaker for the Rear Door
Pioneer AVG-VDP1 (advance vehicle Processor) just because I have it laying around
Pioneer 6 ½ touch screen LCD to control the AVP
Also working on front and rear Inferred cameras

Had some time to work on the car today. I decided to run the speaker wire for the rear doors. Here’s a trick that i found on line.

Here are some pics of today’s progress.

I wanted to keep my 12 awg. stereo wire all the way and not use the factory wire so this is how I ran them to the rear doors.



Since my back has been acting up I decided to pull the dash to run the speaker wires to the front doors.






I got the door dynamated, not my best job but i was trying to use a little as i could so i would have enuff

that's awesome! i'm really interested in what you did to those door panels. did the heat gun allow you to round out the edges around the speakers so it looks factory? i'm thinking about adding larger speakers to my doors but want to make it look like they were supposed to be there and not just screwed into the door panel....

that is exactly what i did. If you look at my photo bucket page you should see exactly how to get it done. Be sure to move the heat around alot, or you will over heat in one spot.

Good Job on the install!!! I am glad to see someone tackle it themselves and not pay some shop.How many amps are you running? Do you need a higher amp alternator I think stock is 140 amp. Are you going to put a 1 farad Capacitor Street Wires $119.00 ....Crutchfield.com"to keep your lights from dimming "a good idea for most setups.....Matt

I also got a 200amp alternator for Powermaster.

I am slowly getting buttoned up, I had knee surgery on the 24th of May so it’s keeping me tied up right now. But I hope to get some more pics up tomorrow…

Well she's back together. Not a 100% but it runs, drive, and is WAY TOO LOUD. I thought this was going to be a nice clean system and loud enough. But i am blown away at the output of this system. The hi's are so so clean, the mid's are great, and the sub WOW.

I just got my 4th rear view camera, this one looks like it will work. I am a little picky on my camera's. Next is to strap down the sub and finish the trunk off.

Ya about the hi output alternator, cap, and wires. I see less then 0.1v drop when at very hi volume. So that system is work very well.
