Look for already existing grommets that may be big enough to fit the wire through. You won't find this on all vehicles, so you might have to make your own hole and use a grommet. If you need to make your own hole, find a place that is safe for the wire. Keep clear of moving parts, pinch points, hinges and sharp objects. Know where your drilling! If you need to make your own hole, pull back the carpet inside and any hoses or wiring outside the firewall first and make sure you don't drill into something blindly. I also recommend you start with a 1/8 inch drill bit, then confirm clearance, then increase the drill size to whatever needed for the grommet. And make sure you USE A GROMMET or equivilant pass-through wire protector and a main fuse at the battery connection.
