2002 SSEi supercharged Catalytic Converter

Post by Trums2 »

Does anyone know if I can replace the cat with a universal or do I need a special one. The dealer says my cost is $1034. I have found magnaflow universal for about $80.

:stupid:

Take it to an exhaust shop and have them weld it in. You'll want a 2.5" in/out. You could also spring for a little more cash and have a 3" downpipe and cat from ZZP welded in, and have a little more power.

What part number are you looking at? http://magnaflow.com/ calls for the PN 46006 for the universal one.

This is the one I used and have had no issues. You want to make sure you get the right one or it may set off an SES light.

I second that. I got a 3" hogan downpipe and had to get an o2 sim because it set off a code. Too "highflow".
