ok i can't really find any performance parts for my 2001 pontiac bonnevile se i have $650 for the time being to spend i was wondering what i should get to help get my car to a higher hp and faster acceleration

you should look under the performance section in these forums there is also a links page with all kinds of websites that have products for anything you could ever need. (FYI most anything that fits a grand prix gtp will work for you some mild modding may be required)

With $650, you can do a fenderwell intake and a tune and have some cash left, I think. That would be a nice pick me up. Stretch that $650 to $750-$800 and you could add higher ratio roller rockers for a good bit more power.

You could get into a top swap kit for $650.

Used parts all the way. You could get a used set of headers, ER rockers, and a home made intake for 650.

ZZP ER ratio rockers are the optimum ratio rocker for NA cars.

Two good sources for new parts are http://www.intense-racing.com and http://www.zzperformance.com

First good mods, however, will be to make sure your car is in perfect running order, especially the N/A. Have you replaced the Upper Plenum and Lower Intake Gaskets? Here's my full maintenance list:

  Run Seafoam through gasoline and intake every 5,000 miles. One pint of Seafoam in a half tank of fuel is a good mix. The intake is optional, but recommended.

  PCV Valve Every 30k

  Lower Intake Manifold Gasket Replacement, every 80-100k (ignorance of this can allow coolant to enter your engine oil, this happening can cause irreversible lower engine damage, requiring replacement of subject engine)
  
  Series II, Naturally Aspirated, RPO:L36:
  Upper Intake Manifold Plenum Replacement, Every 80-100k (ignorance of this can allow coolant to enter your intake manifold, possible damage to occur can be hydrolock, irreversible damage to emissions devices, misfires, etc. Most times, engine replacement is required if ignored long enough.) viewtopic.php?f=53&t=1061
