Electric Supercharger

Post by smokeysan »

I am returning to the states from Germany in January and I am looking to add some upgrades to my 01 Bonneville. I am considering an electric supercharger from this website: http://www.yourhotcar.com/prod/Supercha ... _2/548722/ Has anyone used one of these or have any idea about this etc. Is it even worth it? Thanks. Image

Thanks I was thinking that it sounded like it might be. Do you know of a supercharger that will mate up with a stock SE easily? Thanks.

No such thing. Its either a top swap kit, entire engine swap, or go turbo.

12 Volts, 2.2 Amps = 24.4 watts.

It's about as powerful as a PC cooling fan (which it probably is on the inside).

There are real electric superchargers. http://www.electricsupercharger.com/

It produces 1 PSI. The up-rated version makes 1.7 PSI. It also costs $300 and up. Power draw is >1500 watts, according to their website.

The ONLY viable (actually works instead of causing an intake restriction) electric supercharger is this one:

Anything like what is posted above for the import ricer tuner market is a freaking joke on any motor of our size. Our natural aspiration will out-flow any of them.
