The dates have changed from the 9th and 10th to the 8th through the 11th. There are a few people that have expressed interest in coming out on Friday and leaving Monday afternoon.... As you can imagine it was really hard to get me to take Friday off
Well, our first attempt at a race day during the Michigan meet earlier this year was rained out. The weekend of October 9th and 10th will be the REVENGE day!
I am not sure who all will be able to make it back out again for the weekend, but I do know that there is a group from New York that should be here.
SO.... lets get some people together for this!
Race day will be Sunday the 10th from 11 AM - 5 PM, cost is $10 to spectate, $20 to race. You must be over 18 to race unless you have parental consent via a written / signed note.
You must wear regular shoes and socks, as well as long pants (no shorts)
If you run 13.99 or quicker, you must have a SNELL approved helmet, I doubt that anyone will run quicker then 12.99, so I won't go into those rules.
Looks like a few people want to show up Friday, so I will be taking Friday off work so somebody is here when people start to show
Make sure you are here for Saturday, likely go out to eat (Buffalo Wild Wings, Logans Roadhouse, Bennigan's, Damon's etc..) set up a little country cruise and hope it don't rain again Drinks Saturday night, likely to be a great time based on past meets Wake up somewhat early Sunday morning, have a great hangover curing breakfast and head to the track. People can leave from the track, or head back to our house, I won't leave for work until about 2 PM Monday, so people are welcome to stay Sunday night as well if they wish.I should have some issues straightened out on the Cutlass by then and BETTER run quicker then a 14.049
...i may actually drive the Bonneville this time! Yes it is BACK in my driveway and my daughter now drives it... she's old and tired though so i don't think i'll be racing her.... but maybe... maybe just a couple times... ahh.... it depends on how she's running...
