ball joints and control arms

Post by grandprix104 »

So im trying to replace the ball joints on my POS and Ive got the joint off the arm but the rivets are still stuck in the control arm. Ive drilled them out and everything but they wont come out. Anybody got any tips? Also does somebody have a schematic on how the control arm comes off? It seems that there is some sort of spring in one of the bushings?

Thanks.

Oftentimes, heat will help you separate things that are press fit together. Try a propane torch on the outside of the ball joint and then rap it with a hammer. It should just pop out.
