why cant i find any thing for my ssei. i was lookin on zzperformance and they have pulleys and rocker arms. i was thinkin of getting the rocker arms tho. who else makes part for the series 1. i looked in intense but its alll series 2 unless its hidden.

ok i was thinkin of goin to an exhaust shop and seein how much custom headers would be. the headers, take the cat out, the FWI, and rockers sound good to you guys? of course a smaller pulley, maybe.

Don't delete the cat, go with a high-flow instead. Magnaflow seems to be the general consensus on what brand to stick with.

Yea, go Magnaflow Highflow cat. and F-boby muffler.. you do NOT need to get headers made, you will not outflow your current manifolds as they are almost headers to begine with, Just check them for cracks and weld them up if needed.

Intake, downsize pully and rockers sound good WITH the highflow exhaust.

Headers will scavenge exhaust in ways the exhaust manifolds could only dream of.. and could be made of larger sizes for built up cars. Claming there's no benefit is kinda hard, because no one's done it. A well designed header system will increase power across the entire rpm range.

However, is it cost effective for a series 1? No idea.

well im looking for cheap and easy. like the rockers and intake and pulley i could do. the exhaust maybe if i could get ahold of a welder. my buddy had one but i dont know if he still has it. i already ported the LIM. dunno how good i did but it was more of a learning thing. i love workin on my cars but money is a major issue

Porting a LIM can hurt you if not done right. Don't put it on the car until we see how/what you did.

There is very little to be gained on the Series 1 L67 by doing that, anyway. The factory port match is already pretty good.

Click on Grand Prix. Then click on Pulleys and Belts. Scroll down until you see M62 pulleys. All they have is 2.7" and 2.6". Neither size is practical for anything. Go to www.pulleyboys.com instead, but do your homework first. Wrong pulley=blown motor.

why not take it out. not enough back pressure? i figured it will flow better considering its a s/c car plus i have some juice on it too

i know its not legal but every one is tellin me to cut it out. even my buddy with a GTP said get rid of it. i havent done it yet cuz i was not to sure about how it would effect my car. that and the whole legal issue even tho no one will ever know here in sunny and hot as hell florida

I ran w/o a cat for a month or two...mainly because I had the dreaded rattlecat. I gained quite a bit of flow.

I added a cat after I found one on ebay for cheap. I lost a bit of flow, but gained back noticeable torque. These engines, and the programing that goes with them, are set up for some backpressure.

Not sure if this has been suggested yet, but maybe you can go with a 92/93 exhaust. It's 2.5 vs. the 2.25 on the 94/95s.

Brad, all SSEi's are 2.5" exhaust. From 92-95 and beyond.

Only the Supercharged SLE's (like mine) are smaller, and they don't neck down until AFTER the resonator.

KEEP THE CAT. Trust a couple dozen here, you'll lose low-end grunt without it. You're a LONG LONG way from outflowing your stock exhaust. If you want power, look somewhere else.
