Post your pics of your non-Bonneville, and If you have video footage, we want to see it. Videos must be hosted on external web space and hotlinked to PontiacBonnevilleClub.com. Also discuss mechanical problems regarding your non-bonneville (this is not another lounge, but posts don't count, random car vids not of your cars should be in the lounge)

Still Truckin'...now with more mods and a little NXT

Post by lowrider0308 »

After seeing Don's thread about Meg's NXT 2.0 on his new Bonneville, along with the ongoing thread about which wax is better, I decided to follow some of the advice listed in those topics and applied a base coat of NXT and then a follow up coat of Gold Class. I had only used Gold Glass before now. I am very impressed with the results so far from the NXT/GC combo. I also felt the NXT was easier to apply. All of these pictures were taken after driving 200+ miles. Since I posted pics of my truck last time, I have added: a 4" CAI, black polyurathane OEM fender flares, slightly hidden driving lights, and a firebar that burned out (grrrrrrrr.... :angry4: ).

I can feel a little extra top end pull from installing this bad boy. Makes that engine sound so evil at WOT.

You do not want me behind you with my brights and driving lights on...

Kicker 10" in a ported box with a cheap Jensen amp. Plenty of bass for the country and rock I listen to.

Switch for the lights under my bumper. I barely used any of the wiring that came in the package because I decided to wire in a 30 Amp relay and connect that to the Aux. Acc post on my fuse block. The only hole I had to drill was for the switch, which is mounted in the same place a fog light switch is usually mounted. I used predrilled holes from the factory on the lights.

Like I said earlier, I had installed a LED firebar under the tailgate, but it burned out in under 2 months. Looked cool while it lasted. I might replace it with a better one off the internet later. However, I would like to start saving up for some BF Goodrich A/T KO2's and possibly rims.f

Thanks for the comments guys...Yes, it doesnt not sit as high as a Z71...I hope to raise it up a little eventually, or at least put a leveling kit on it to get rid of the slope from back to font. The filter in the pictures is the spectre one that came in the kit. I am going to be getting a K&N filter soon though. I have been watching this one to make sure it is not trapping water or getting real dirty. It has been raining enough to keep the dirt and dust down, so I am not too worried right now. I figured somebody would call me out on that. Good eyes!

I hate when they put on those spectre filters on TV shows. Makes me want to post a youtube vid of what spectre filters actually do......
