project: Park Avenue Ultra

Post by harofreak00 »

I bought this for $600 yesterday. It has coolant in the oil and needs some body work. I started looking into it today. When I trailed it home I found there was a HUGE oil leak that leaked all over the dolly I used to carry it home. I found a hole in the rear of the oil pan from the inside out, it threw a rod.. the engine is toast. I found a used L67 for $350 locally with 90k. With Ed's help, we will be installing it hopefully this weekend. Other than the engine, the car is pretty solid for 197k.

Gonna have to find some new rims, those are so ugly…

How about the idol in the trunk... I'm scared to throw it away.

So I drained the oil this afternoon. I don’t think there was more than a few ounces of oil in there, it was all water. Check out the video.

I still haven't started it, and I don't plan on it until we try to load it onto Ed's trailer. I doubt it will run for more than a few minutes, let alone run.

I would be willing to bet that if it starts, the noises it will make will drastically swing from bad to worse.
