Great to see the awards. It's always fun to see who ends up with what.
It started out pretty rough, but looks like it was another successful WCBF.
Everybody stay safe on the drives home
I am already adding my name to the list for next year. It was much more difficult, than I ever, imagined to not be there, but thanks to the updates here, and several text messages and phone calls, I had some great moments, even from far away.

Its been a fantastic meet this year (as always) I had a blast talking with and seeing everyone. There was a lot to get through this year to make this a successful meet. Thanks to everyone that came and those who couldnt but still contributed.

It is such a great community to be a part of and it fills me with pride and joy to be a part of it, I am already looking forward to next year hopefully it will be the best yet

I will post my pics when I get home. thanks again to everyone for such great times and great friendships made, this club is TRULY one of a kind and I doubt there will ever be anything that compares to the generosity and kindness that comes out of this place ( not to mention the knowledge). To all that didnt make it this year ....I hope to see you here in the future ,or if any one is in eastern washington please dont hesitate to pm me and we will have a mini meet of our own

Cable is out in my neighborhood this morning (I'm back at work). Taylor is crashed on my couch, John and Matt picking him up soon for breakfast. I'm meeting them at Shari's about 9:30 to see them off.
We made the best of some bad situations this year, and managed to get it all done. It would have been better with the whole team, but we didn't do too bad. I'm looking forward to some good sleep the next couple days!
I'll get more pics up in the next couple days (most on Lisa's camera) and I bet alot more will be posted by others.

First of all, just let me say a big thank you once again to everyone who helped out on the motor swap. It was greatly appreciated and I felt great that I got to race and not waste the two up, even though the new engine put a great financial strain on the budget. It was not too expected and I really probably couldn't afford it in hindsight, but I wasn't thinking about that when I said yeah lets go for it.
Anyway, huge thanks to Wren for his garage, tools, supplies, and help; and Taylor for being right there every step of the way, and everyone else who lent a hand on the new engine, Keven, Jordan, Matt, and anyone else I am forgetting, but those guys really stuck in there even though there where a lot of other things they could have been doing.
Second of all a big thank you for all the awards I recieved, even though I couldn't stay for the awards ceremony. I didn't expect any of that and the Intense gifts where an added bonus! Thanks to the Intense guys for those and the support of the Bonnies! I wouldn't have gotten any of those awards without the swap, so that was a miracle in itself, that the car actually ran, and then ran amazingly well. It will easily do 12s in 85-95* weather and that's not half bad considering that it was sitting in a junk yard the day before. It was hooking up well too and if I had a few more runs I think I could have gone into the 1.7s 60'
Third a big thank you to everyone who made the meet happen. Some of them weren't even able to make it, but it would't have happened without you guys. So thank you for all your hard work year after year.

Jared, I told Taylor the next morning (less than 12 hours after the swap was done), that all I wanted to see was a single time trial pass to make it all worth it. You did FAR better than that! Heck of an accomplishment considering the swap was of the short block, and your cam, headers, valvetrain, heads, manifold, intercooler, and bling (you know what I mean) had to be swapped over. It was a pleasure working with the teardown crew, and for 3 people on the re-install team, I think we did pretty good. From teardown at 4pm on Thursday to starting the car at 7pm on Friday.....and that included a 6 hour break that most of us used for 4 hours of sleep. Not too shabby. Grueling, but strangely satisfying and a source intense pride for all of us who worked on it.
And just as much of a pleasure to work with a fellow gearhead like you. It was fun to see the similarities in our hand-crafted intercooler setups.
Now by the numbers:
16 cars/trucks/SUV's participated in WCBF '09, 10 were Bonnevilles. 89, 93, 94, 95, 96, 97, 2000, and 2002 were represented (and others I can't remember).
17 Engines participated.
One is still in my shop.
10 of them raced in our lane, one in the other. The competition fielded 8 cars.
2 Dogs participated this year. Nash from Idaho, and Dex from Oregon.
26 Humans participated this year.
2 owners had 2 cars present, and all 4 cars raced.
4 members have now driven the SLEeper in competition at the Miles Chevy Showdown at Woodburn Dragstrip.
3 Fords participated in WCBF, as well as a Chevy pickup and three trailers of various types.
2 Grand Prix's participated as well. One from Arizona and the other from California.
6 States and Provinces were represented. Arizona, British Columbia, California, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington.
10 Cars and trucks saw service at ZillaMotorsports. Some of the rest got at least a wash.
3 cars/trucks took advantage of discounts at www.audiofilesinc.com
8 days for the meet from start to finish.
6 years of the longest-running organized Bonneville meet in North America.
3 of myfirstbonnie's vag***'s participated this year.
37 bottles of wine passed through Margaret (would have been 38, but John broke one on the way here).
2 nights I had to help Lisa out of the car and in the door (both Margaret's fault).
186 bottles of beer were consumed (many were 24 ouncers).
7 times the *dang* kitten escaped when someone went out the door.
43 times we wished Dr. Jared Shelton dished out freebies.
3 nights Dex crawled into Taylor's sleeping bag.
7 members actively participated/contributed to WCBF '09 in absence.
