My possible mod list

I just wanted some input on the Mod list I plan on putting in the L67. Most of it is the intense recipe for 13 sec. and some just added well cause.

Re-Programmed PCM (needs to be done anyway)
Power Log and rear ported man. (pretty cheap actually)
Cross-Over Pipe
Down Pipe (need one anyway and ZZP has one for a bonnie)
3.4 Pulley system
Shift Kit
Yella Terra Roller Rocker & Push rods
Valve Springs (LS6 Med)
trans cooler(after looking in to it I think I will just get a bonnie radiator, hear its not very beneficial for the external cooler)
Heat Shield for the intake
180* thermostat
plugs
ZZP wires
High flow cat
Terminator muffler

Looking for the neighbor hood of mid 13's and I figure this will keep it pretty street-able for the Daily use.

No, an external trans cooler is worth it. Also, if you're spending money on wires, get Beldin Premiums or MSD's. They are the best two on the market. Other than that the list looks fairly solid to me!

well maybe I will run the trans cooler. As for the plug wires I looked at ZZPs and they are supposed to be great, I have not heard great things about MSD on L67 cars to be honest.

dont spend the money on the Wires, Stock AC delco is what the fastest cars run. The MSD are nothing but show for the cars, no added performance

All the stuff I been readin says external isn't needed or could cause winter temp problems, do you got more info on why it's good? The wires, if they r so good how come GM don't put them on original? Got more info on those either? I'm working to get parts and the original's cost more. If you know something about these napa ones being better I'd drive the 30 miles to the Napa.

The nice coolers are viscosity controlled, and won't be cooling the fluid until it gets hot. Keeping the tranny cool can only help the life of the parts, although most say the failures in the 4t65-e's aren't heat related

The reason why GM didnt put those wires on to begin with is cost and radio interferance. Also you dont need a wire that big from the factory.

I was recommended these headers. If they fit and if the cross over is included it would be worth it, but not sure they will fit seing they are for a GP not a H body car. http://www.ssautochrome.com/level.itml/icOid/1886

the SSautochrome are SLP knockoffs, and people have said that they are good

and your wasting 100 on the wires if you choose to buy them

After looking in to it I will go with the Delco wires. and I am looking in to the exhaust issue.

Someone suggested to me that I look in to a cam instead of the rocker arms and v.springs. I talked to Todd at intense and he says also prefers the cam over the springs/ rockers. Now ideally I would like to get the rockers/v. springs and the cam, but maybe later; not enough money for that right now. Since the motor is not in the car yet it isn't really a big deal as far as the install goes.

What do you guys think, cam?

Obviously when modding my motor it is going to hurt my MPGs but do you think the cam would hurt it more over the rockers?

Yes, get the Blue Belden Maxx wires from Napa -they are only $3x.xx and come with a lifetime warranty.
I suggest getting wires for a 1995 Bonneville SSEi as the Series I L67 gets 8mm wires while the Series II L67 only gets 7mm wires and cost more.
I've put these on at least 10 3800's and only had one failure -simply pulled into the Napa parking lot and removed them and exchanged them 1 at a time. 10 minutes later I was back on the road with a car modded to about the same level you're looking to take your T to.
Another reason to buy these over AC Delcos is they are significantly cheaper cost-wise.

Go for the cam. I went with the rockers, and now I have a cam awaiting installation.
Also, if the headers are SLP knock-offs, the only adjustment you should need to make is to install a dipstick tube from the W-body to clear the runners.
