Good job Haro. I'm sure this will help out a lot of people who have any questions about this.

Boy, do I feel like an idiot. Just went out and checked. I have the locking fuel door. I always wondered what that loud clicking sound was when I went to unlock the doors. I got to rooting around in the trunk for the manual release but damed if I can find it. (after looking at the manual).

I started to but one of the tenants where i live pulled up next to me and i started talking to her and forgot about it. She was admiring the way my car looked and she got me distracted. I will check that out.

I sprayed a bunch of WD40 in there and to no avail, will pop open if i stick a screwdriver in and push and pound on the housing a little. What else can i try?

The coil that pushes and pulls the pin come of the little tracks, you have to carefully remove the locking mechanism and you will see what I am talking about.
Good Morning,
I also have this issue, and it will not free up (The pin just sot of quivers when I hit the buttons). Will the mechanism just pop off once I remove the pins? TIA!
Success, with a few tugs on the emergency release and a rap or two with a small screwdriver it freed up and is working just fine. I suppose the lube had a chance to work while I was pecking at the keyboard. Much thanks, I can cross that item off the list!
Found the manual release this morning. I think jr's3800hid it from me when he was fixing the backing in my trunk last year in Florida.Just kidding Don.Gave it a test pull and it works. Thanks Andrew.

Mines bust-a-cated off, been since I got it. Someone OBVIOUSLY didnt know how to unlock it or someone only had a lil gas left in their tank when they got in their car some morning.

I took it apart, nothing on it works, it is dead and gone, but I haven't had a vehicle that has had it and never had an issue with people stealing my gas out of my tank, either, so i'm not too worried
