2 questions need help and opinion

Discuss washing, waxing and detailing information as well as interior/exterior cosmetic modifications. This includes neons, body, cosmetic wheels, etc. Even under the hood detailing.

1. preference for painting plastic (upper intake) would vinyl and fabric interior type paint work? I look at krylon fusion but didn't see the color I want.

2. the weather strip pc. at the bottom of the door windows on the out side look like crap is there anything that can be done to fix them (paint) or do they have to be replaced if so does anyone have part numbers or where I can get such items(all 4 door)?2000 SE BTW.

To be honest I wouldnt paint bother painting the upper plenum, You could go with a high heat paint but over time it would start to peel and flake, which would be more work in the long run. Give your engine a nice good detailling and the end result would last far longer than paint.


As for the other piece go to a local junkyard, I know Harofreek had a car he was parting out, look in the forsale section

I don't think Interior paint will work, not heat resistant, and the manifold can get warm.

Um, there are a few different ways to fix that, I don't remember where the threads are. someone will hopefully chime in w/ the how-to.

Someone on here put vinyl over the trim piece and that looked pretty good.

Vinly over the weatherstrip. Alot of people did that on here and looks amazing! I will be doing that this spring. I forget what his name is but its the guy who also sells the Pontiac Bonneville Club decals, he has it up on his site
