You do know that Autozone or similar will scan your car for free, right?

In California, shops (or parts stores like Autozone) are no longer allowed to loan a code reader, because some a$$wipe got ripped off for unneeded parts by a shop, sued, and got a Court Injunction.

I know the OP's not in CA, just thought I'd share another stupid Californism.

They don't really loan them here, they just come out to your car and scan the code. They will always reset it for me if I ask (back before I had my Aeroforce)
