With all due respect the point of customizing a car is to make it something you like so you don't have to like it its not your car1993 sle wrote:i just never understood why you would want to reduce your visability.

You are compromising your safety, your passengers, and the safety of those you share the road with.
The only reason some headlights look darker OEM than others is because they darken parts inside of the lens, that have nothing to do with light output.

Re: tinting lights
which is what i was asking i dont want to tint the outside lense and i never inteded to lessen the output of the light if it did i would take the tinting away or put in a brighter bulb such as an H.I.R. bulb but i think were all getting off topic here and just uselessly bickering

Re: tinting lights
Been having my lights painted for almost a year now and never been pulled over for them and they are extremely dark. i guess it depends on where you live. Im not sure exactly how many coats the guy used i just wanted them to be really really dark

Re: tinting lights
I had the warning ticket before :(
But I should of gotten it cause stupid me forgot some how on how many coats I did, and now realize I put around 6 coats on the lights and there TOOOO dark..
Still have to take off, hoping I can get some paint thinner and a little elbow power itll come off.
