Whatever gets the job done. I'm going over again soon to paint the fuel tank, run AN lines, and help put the car together. It should be running with a complete PRJ tune in about a week or two.

I'm back! I've got a lot of pictures and videos to post. This is all of last time I was at Austin's as well as today. Looking back, I can see it's crazy how much we've done so far. Almost done! If we can just get the fuel pump routed to the engine, we can start the car and drive it without exhaust!

We used brake parts cleaner to remove the grease that came with the gas tank, and then we used primer and this stuff:

Have a look to compare the old gas tank hanger with the new ones, now also rubberized:

Here's the old sending unit:

The gas tank in a lot of these pictures had primer sealer. We used a crawler to get it under the car. Three guys, a jack, a crawler, about an hour, and it's done! Easy!

Moving on the the engine bay now. Also, here are where pictures from today start off. We used my air compressor to pressurize each cylinder through the spark plug holes so that the valves wouldn't fall in.

Here's the finished fuel rail:

Observe our awesome valve seal fitting tool:

We used this to squeeze the valve springs:

Things were getting boring with each set of rockers needing no more than one person and the camera's battery level staying the same. I needed to take more pictures. The first picture below is the fuel filter in its awesome mounting place.

Back to the rockers!

Now, remember those pressurized cylinders? This is what it sounds like when you tap pressurized valve stems with a hammer. It sounds just awful as the valve stem comes back, but the hammer makes very little noise. It sounds hideous, though.

I swear this next video is good. Austin was on the phone with BillBoost37, and we cranked the engine and re-torque the rocker bolts. Check out this video of the rockers shifting around as the engine turns.

I slept over at Austin's house and continued work the next day. We had to work later on, so I didn't get to upload the pictures until today, the day after. Enjoy.

I can finally finish up this crazy meet thread! Austin came to my house with his Bonneville today, and we rode around in it. What I will call INBF has now gone on for two months. Should you choose to agree with me and call this a Bonneville Fest, you should mark your calendars and stay in Indiana for almost two months next year around this time. Hooray for all.
