Safe switch power line to splice into for wideband?

Would it be safe to splice into the brown power wire going to the HUD switch for power? It seems it should be good from my research in the manual. But I’m a total noob to wiring and want to make sure I have this understood correctly.

It would be convenient as I’m mounting in the vent directly next to it.

That was my original plan then realized that I believe there is only a couple fuses that aren’t always hot on this car, and they are all in the rear fuse box under the seat. I’ll have to pull the driver seat most likely to be able to route under the carpet to the rear fuse box. Which I didn’t think would be difficult at all but then I came across having to disable the SIR system just to remove the driver seat. I was hoping there may be an easier way.

I did just find this post where it seems a guy had the same idea and it worked fine. Just don’t know if the wideband would pull more current than the Aeroforce. I do plan to put a 5A inline fuse on my spliced connection if I do splice a wire. And the circuit itself I’d be splicing is rated for 10A.

I also don’t have heated seats which are usually connected to this same circuit. So I would imagine I have some headroom on the amps for the circuit. I found out the wideband I have draws 3 amps peak when warming up then drops to a steady rate under 1 amp.
