The tail light on this had a broken stud I've ignored for long enough. I thought about getting a replacement but didn't want to mess with the mounting something different since it's a tail chop. I decided to drill a hole and fish a bolt through to fix it:

I also reverted the tune to one of the less fat revisions I did last year when I didn't realize I was trying to make up for a weak fuel pump with more pulse width. The dual spark engine was happy to get the extra fuel but I don't need to be running around with 12 AFRs everywhere.

Thanks! I didn't really have a plan when I started trying to fix this but it all ended up coming together quick.

I put about 150 miles on this up to Easton, PA and back last Friday. One of my favorite areas to ride relatively close to me is north of Philly along the Delaware River and Canal. This canal was part of an array of other canals which connected coal country, NYC, Philly and the Atlantic starting in the early 19th Century. There are a fair share of houses from the 1800s, windy roads and plenty of green in this area.

I backed up the tune to an earlier one again but it was still fat. I'm going to have to go back to one of the tunes I had in Cali after I first ditched the power commander. I guess I'll see if my pump was starting to go in Cali if it's still fat after I load one of those tunes.

I don't ride this much but I make it a point to be sure it's operational. I was out a few times last year and I re-did the 150 mile trip in my last post around the same time of the year.
It hit 80 today and I decided to wake up early so I had enough time to commute to/from work and switch to a car to go back out and pick the kids up. The motorcycle parking area at work was still covered by a snow pile.. I snapped a pic figuring the location, snow and ext. temp combo might not happen again.

Cool. How is it a couple weeks ago you guys back east were snorkeling through the snow and now it's 80*? Meanwhile, out west, ski resorts are closing because the meager-to-begin-with lower-level snow is melting. Tomorrow may be my last day on the mountain. Well, with skis or board anyway.

The temps are swinging hard. It was 48 when I left in the morning and 80 on the way home.
I did hear the conditions are so-so out west. Friends of mine went to Park City two weeks ago and they described conditions I just saw on Friday last week in the Poconos.. after it hit 50 and raining a couple days before.. I went snowboarding for the first time in about 15 years and somehow it was still mostly in muscle memory.

While it hasn't been a typical winter of blow powder, there was still places to ski/board. But many of the resorts were only able to run about 75% of their respective mountains. Yeah, I'll bet those first 100 feet or so of 1st time on the board were like "what am I doing?". That's usually the first run of the season for me. 2 runs down the hill and my legs are on fire.
