Lol @ the note. I sharpied on my buddies lift 'i30 was here' when I was there parting it out.

Is there a way to get the to the other side of the metal on that weld and spray it with cavity wax? (they have log wands) It might be worth it.

Finally hit 100k miles, and of all places hit it on track which was awesome. In the 50k miles I've owned it now, I've gone through innumerable sets of brake pads and rotors. Did the clutch. Did some track durability/longevity mods such as brake ducting, a valve cover mod to help oil drain down in high G corners, a firmer front sway bar, and more. Also went through 5 sets of tires. Just installed set 6: Hankook RS4s. I actually really like that they're a little less sticky than the Falken RT660s and RE71Rs I've ran in the past. I know they will last longer and wear more evenly, but they also are just more fun and less scary at the limit. Unfortunately, broke a wheel stud on track due to likely my own stupidity, but they are so old and so heat cycled now, I think I'll be doing rear hubs and bearings next spring. Car won't see any more track events for the year, but does see some use for fun and for real estate. Clients love seeing it, and non-car people clients love getting tours in it lol
