just replaced the oil pan and would like to crank the engine a bit to make sure oil pump is developing some pressure. Is there a way to crank the engine without it starting (easy way to disable fuel injectors?) or is fuel pump relay removal the best way to go?
Read somewhere that cranking with WOT (gas pedal to floor wide open) will inhibit fuel. True on this car?
thanks for any suggestions

Yep, un-clip all the injectors or unplug the FP relay.

I am 95% certain this is true. I know it worked that way on an older GM TBI car I had.phils97bonn wrote:Read somewhere that cranking with WOT (gas pedal to floor wide open) will inhibit fuel.

I'll give it a try.
Its too much trouble for me (at my age) to crawl under the dashboard to find the fuel pump relay or unplug the injectors so this would be much less work.
