Module Issues??

Post by Teddybfelts »

Problem on 2002 se
Driver window problems going up and down (jerking)
Interior lights stay on
dash lights dim on their own
passenger window will only work sporadically
locks don't work
"bright light indicator staying on"

Is this a problem with the interior module? any help would be great.

Thanks

be sure the little knob on left side of dash by fog lamps is not turned all the way clockwise - that turns on the interior lights.
bright light, you mean high beam - if you push the turn indicator stick forward, it will stay there and high beams stay on - check that

give the window a couple of light hits with your palm, does it move smoother for a bit?

see if there is a fuse for locks..........

can you move the mirrors with switch on pass door?

The dash light dim and brighten on their own. The "bright light" indicator stays on when I dim the headlights (sometimes). "door ajar" indicator comes on when all doors are shut.

I just think its some type of module going bad or a "junction box".

The first thing I would do is check and clean all the electrical ground points. It's cheap and easy - well, cheap anyway. Poor electrical returns can exhibit some wacky symptoms. Do a site search, I think there's probably a post that points out the major chassis grounds.

I'm having the exact same issues. Has there ever been a solution discovered?

I'm confused. You are the original author from 2 years ago, but you never updated anything. Did the problems go away for a period of time?

those problems are still there. After doing alot of researching, I think of got a couple of things going on. On the windows, I think I need the driver door window "modulator". I'm not sure about the other stuff.
