GXP grille options - Late model GTO same/similar size?

Post by hayesperformanceplus »

Hello everyone!

I’ve been entertaining options to make the 2 upper grilles on the GXP stand out more.

I was wondering if anyone has compared the grilles in the GXP to that of the late model GTO?
They look Very close and wondered if they may even be the same.

If so that would open the possibility of being able to get real stainless steel mesh grilles like the G6 GXP or the CTS-V.

Another idea I had is there is a company that now does plastic chrome plating and can chrome plate such items as the outside edge of our grilles which would make a real sharp touch and would totally change the look of the GXP from the front.

The two grilles look close, but I don't think they're identical.

Personally, I think you should just chrome plate the outside edge of the grille - it'll stand out more without being gawdy, as it would be if you chrome plated the entire grilles. But, if you get the whole thing chrome plated, I think you should do the ones in the bumper to match.

If I chrome plated, yes I agree, I would only do the edges.

So I have exciting news,

I found a company that can easily custom make Stainless steel mesh grilles like you would see on the Cadillac CTS-V, etc. for our Bonneville's or most vehicles for that matter.

Check out the amazing custom grilles this guy and his family makes, they look awesome!

This is his info. I hope it's OK to share here otherwise please move the info to the correct location.
